It's hard to even imagine the bloodbath they have done and continue to do. They killed around 25 dogs today so far, and they are still killing! They only have 200 dogs, which includes moms with unweaned puppies--they are practically empty. Yet they have killed and continue to kill so many puppies and dogs today, it's unbelievable. They killed the animals without any notice whatever, so no one can know who is being killed until it's too late.
And they make up the most outrageous lies and excuses to try to defend their killing--claiming aggression when the dogs are sweet, claiming "fights" when the dogs are cuddling, and claiming "suffering" just because of a mild cough--one sneeze and it's off with their heads.
Today their excuse is Giardia, a minor infection as common as a cold. They are butchering any animals who may or may not have Giardia, plus any asymptomatic animals around them; how long will the people of this city continue to tolerate this psychosis?
Isn't it interesting that they can't get any veterinarians to work at LAAS? Any decent vets have long since departed and some of the most incompetent and uncaring vet techs are running the medical dept. at LAAS.
It does not get us anywhere to expect LAAS to police itself. The "answers" and the purported explanations are just going to be nonsense to appease people and get them to go away and go back to business as usual as though these dogs had never existed or been horribly massacred. The only answer is that LAAS is a death camp and they kill. Regime change must be demanded by the public, fire the killers, replace them with compassionate leadership.

South LA killed so many dogs this morning, and still killing, because claim they have an outbreak of Giardia. If the dog had diarrhea, they just killed it, including little Penny below, no phone calls, I just heard she had been euthenized from another rescuer. Several of us had our names on her, and I already had a foster lined up, but no phone call from anyone. When I spoke to the New Hope co-ordinator she said it was the medical staffs call, the head being Dr. Lacson, he was not there for comment. I spoke to a medical staff member, he said that was not true, it had to come from the Supervisors. I immediately called my vet, she was horrified!!!! She told me that Giardia is very curable, just medication will get rid of it within days. She is making some phone calls to the right people, to find out what happened. Humans can only get Giardia from dogs if they eat their feces!! Giardia is a microscopic parasite that lives in the intestine, the symptoms are diarrhea, or cramps in the stomach, or just gas. We can get this from water, eating contaminated food, it is actually very common, and we might not even know we have it.
South LA has to give us answers this time, we will not let this rest!!!
