The question below was written to an ADL-LA board member by a department of Los Angeles Animal Services volunteer. This LAAS volunteer has written ADL-LA several times previously asking why ADL-LA and other animal rights activists choose to be so critical of LAAS and Ed Boks.  His most recent post below begs the question as to why ADL chooses to 'interfere rather then help' like he does, by working "within the system."

I think our response under his post, sums up the feelings of Animal Defense League-LA and others as to why many individuals feel the need to be proactive and engage in protest to force an end to the slaughter of tens of thousands of homeless and treatable animals every year in the city of Los Angeles.

Why do you think it is better to interfere than help?

Fighting against injustice is not interfering. That's the excuse spoon fed to you by a sociopathic con man who spews religious prattle out of one side of his lying mouth and issues orders for animal execution from the other.

If we are "interfering," then so was Harriet Tubman who spirited black slaves from the Southern plantations to the North; so were the Suffragettes who agitated for women's voting rights; so were the Sons of Liberty who tossed 352 chests of British tea into the Boston Harbor to protest taxation without representation; and so were the Allies who dismantled the Nazi concentration camps.

Rather than ask us to stop "interfering" (we're exercising the civil liberties upon which this country was supposedly founded), why don't you and your fellow insiders stop enabling Ed Boks to lie, cook the books, and collect a six-figure salary just to blog, booze, and chase the babes while allowing thousands of healthy, treatable, adoptable animals to be summarily executed?

There's a reason we're out there, ________. It's because Ed Boks refuses to do the job he was hired to do (but for which he has no trouble cashing the accompanying paychecks). It's because Ed Boks lies. It's because Ed Boks pulled the same bullshit in New York City and Maricopa County - from which locations he was fired and asked to leave, respectively. But most of all, Joe, it's because Ed Boks is killing animals. It's because he fills a syringe full of a lethal barbiturate whose purpose is to still beating hearts for whom he's too lazy, uncaring, and incompetent to find homes.
