Just when you thought it couldn't get any more intolerable at the South Central Death Camps, so many dogs were killed there today it was literally a massacre! While the management at LAAS take the weekend off--they only work on weekdays, coming in at 7 am and leaving by 3 or 4 pm--the management of the South LA Death Camp works overtime to kill animals.
Add to that the fact that the "New Hope" dog list, the redlist, has been inaccessible on the LAAS website for the last two days--clicking on the link for the dog list brings up the rabbit list, and clicking on the link for the rabbit list also brings up the rabbit list. So there is no way to know who has been added to the redlist and is in danger.
And there is no way to know who has even been added to the redlist and taken away in the last couple of days, meaning the dogs who were added and killed. Plus there were probably dogs killed that were not even on the list, as this is an all too common occurrence. There may have been more, but the minimum number of dogs were killed today, a Saturday, was 20-25.
The management won't even give it a rest on the weekend! The management at this horrendous slaughterhouse is truly out of control. It's especially sickening because so many of these dogs were PUPPIES, just babies, and there were so many Labs and Shepherds and mixes. There were so many beautiful, really adoptable dogs. But today, without any notice, they were all killed horribly.
The continual holocaust at that shelter needs to stop. Do not accept the lies that the shelter will give, there is no excuse. Please write to the mayor's office, and to the press, ask that the management of the South LA shelter be fired, along with the GM, and replaced with compassionate management. That is the only solution, the massacres will never stop otherwise.
Meanwhile the shelter sends out trucks to find as many dogs as they can to stuff the shelter with, so that management can have animals to kill.

The vet staff at North Central couldn't make a definitive diagnosis between, kennel cough, upper respiratory or a "collapsed trachea." So I believe they killed this tiny, adorable POM mix. The vets and "gang banging" vet techs are so incompetent, they can't tell the difference between usual kennel cough and a collapsed trachea???
If they couldn't make a definitive diagnosis with their own diagnostic tools, they should have sent this poor dog out to a private vet. Or are they not doing that anymore? Have they run out of money to send the animals out to a vet? Oh yes, the money is all going to Boks' salary, and to the employees who kill all the animals--let's not forget, these are the highest paid shelter employees in the nation and some of the most inept, lazy and incompetent!
It's the same old story, regardless; LAAS is killing for kennel cough. URI, etc. Many dogs get colds in LAAS; but because the employees have a kill mentality, instead of a "save" mentality, they try to make it seem like the animals are so sick they "need" to be killed.
Get this, now the vet techs are saying that dogs who have kennel cough may have "possible distemper", "severe" illness," and of course "a collapsed trachea"; and let's not forget how the management at South Central says that kennel cough means an animal is "barely breathing".
They seem to be killing a lot of animals at North Central still, no matter that they have the new facility, same with East Valley.

2 other rescuers also had wanted Shaggy as well. I also got an email from a family that wanted more info on him I had no idea so many people wanted him and loved him, horrendous they killed him. And poor little Katie, and little Ryder, people had wanted these little puppies too. All killed. No notice, no chance to get them out in time, nobody knew they were being killed. I think they also killed little Kobe puppy and also Cha Cha puppy.

Leslie Corea is sadistic, she looks like she has to get her killing fix, like its a drug. She acts like she's obsessed and the expressions on her face I sometimes see when they are bumping off animals is so creepy it makes my skin crawl.
She's determined to get her kill fix and it appears as if Ed doesn't know how to stop her or any of the other laas employees that kill the animals instead of making changes to stop it. When we see Ed come in (which is rare) lots of us comment that Boks is a psychopath, sitting by and allowing animals to be tortured and murdered is his MO. He doesn't do anything about the fact that the department is filled with people who are uncaring and stupid (seriously some of them I think are mentally retarded or at least dim-witted.) Maybe some of them could be taught easy tasks like being kind to animals they take care of, but neither Ed or any of the admin make any attempts to do this. Some like Leslie Corea are actually attracted to these jobs because they can get paid to satisfy their sick compulsions of being in control and abusing those who are at their mercy. Trust me there are sick fuckers who work in laas and it's not just the vet techs and kennel workers.
It's crazy in the department that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing completely disorganized with Ed running the show and nobody can do anything positive for animals even if they wanted to. You know that sociopaths and many psychopaths are known to be charming, one of the greatest examples was Adolph Hitler. Psychopaths can charm the pants off you, completely fooling you. I can usually see it in their faces and I see it everyday when I come to work. I can see it in Eds face especially and he uses his religion as a cover-up. Did you know that Ed use to pray with VC Heidi Hubner? I think they prayed that they'd be able to bring on the self control to keep their hands off each other.
But the thing that gets me depressed is that laas employees like Leslie actually work to prevent animals from getting out. She never gives proper notice about the animals going to be killed, and she makes the redlist so long that it's near impossible for the rescues to figure out whose going to be killed next.
She full on lied about how she needed to euthanize all the dogs because of an outbreak of Giardia. She lies about animals being severely sick when even the stupid vet techs know that's not the case although they kill them anyway. The vet techs know and don't mind killing animals who are healthy or can be treated. They're the lowest common denominator.
You wouldn't believe the people who believe her lies. Rescuers and volunteers believe her I guess because they can't cope any other way but by believing the laas people in uniform. I beginning to think that most of the animal lovers in la are brainwashed to accept the authority of the people in uniform, and even the rescues who I used to like are excusing the killing of our animals and saying that laas has to kill.
But let me tell you that with all the sick stuff going on inside laas your demonstrations really do upset the fuckers. Psychopaths like Ed and Leslie and others hate adl. They are constantly talking about you when they're around. Ed has a hard on for adl and blames you for everything. He's scared, scared of being found out, scared of losing his job, scared of losing his power, scared of that guy Winagrad, scared of everything and anybody who he sees as a threat to his job. Rumor has it he spends most of his time in his office trying to do his own public relations job while we're the ones getting our hands dirty inside laas without any kind of road map to what the future holds. This is the most God awful place to work because there is no hope, I've finally lost it all.

I am just sick once again over the murder today, and every day. Especially over poor Shaggy, who could have been saved. And also little Ryder that an adopter from craigslist wanted to put an IP on a few minutes ago, she also could have been adopted. Shaggy was only 11 months old, and Ryder was only 1 year old. And all the other perfect puppies and the perfect Chow who had also been on the redlist.
They murdered another couple of puppies earlier today that I didn't even have a chance to put out a plea on, they were gone so fast. So many animals just disappear from the website all the time, especially South LA, even late at night, that are unaccounted for. It's horrible enough that the pups and dogs and other animals are murdered from the redlist, but I think it's just the tip of the iceberg--each day there are 10 dogs disappearing from the redlist, but a total of 20 or more disappearing altogether from the main website, and they are most likely not being adopted. Employees and supervisors have been caught selling animals out the back door, or just stealing them. The current goings-on at South LA, which have a different pattern than previously, arouse suspicion.

The vast majority of the animals--hours from being killed--are nothing but loving. They offer paws, kisses, and soft crying pleas--but nothing moves the heartless, cold-blooded, treacherously-determined LAAS killers.
Some of the animals are NOT going to kiss the asses of their murderers--do you blame them?
If LAAS weren't so quick to kill, the animals could be rehabbed by behaviorists--as was Coco the Dutch Shepherd. She was not accused of biting anyone, but she seemed like she was very capable of doing so. Apparently, Marley is not a dog that exhibits overt aggression; maybe he just goes off under certain circumstances. Perhaps what the LAAS employee considered "play" provoked him. That can be worked with. Also, some dogs just don't like to be touched in certain ways.
And what some people call a bite may be just a dog's way of stopping a particular action. Dogs don't have hands; they must do everything with their teeth.
To get an animal out, we have to play "Beat the Clock," because LAAS can't wait to kill. There is no excuse for the killing. It's not the animals who are the problem--whether they are sick, injured, or "aggressive"; the problem is the killing.
