Please let her know that YOU and other LA city taxpayers are FURIOUS about having to foot the bill for Jimmy Blackman's ex-wife's legal fees! Yep, you've heard correctly! Maria Teresa Blackman (who claims that she is divorced from Jimmy Blackman, Deputy Mayor overseeing Los Angeles Animal Services, aka LA Animal Death Camps) is somehow being represented by the City Attorney's Office in yet another attempt by the City to stop peaceful picketers from demonstrating in her neighborhood. The activists picketing are simply letting the neighbors know that Jimmy Blackman - who owns the home she lives in - is paying the mortgage every month with the blood of companion animals killed needlessly in this city. 

Yes, indeed, activists want the neighborhood to know that the individual who owns the home is DIRECTLY responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of healthy, treatable cats, dogs, puppies, kittens, and rabbits every year - because he reneged on his promise made back in 2005 to hire No Kill Solutions to consult. It was Jimmy Blackman, himself - along with Antonio Villaraigosa - who stated to many in the humane community (including ADL-LA) that No Kill Solutions was going to be hired in November 2005 to consult for LAAS and search for a competent GM. But then when big money was promised by Gary Michelson to hire his then-friend Ed Boks, (the two-time loser,) Jimmy and Antonio backpedaled on their promise. Now, the animals are being slaughtered at LAAS in the kill rooms and also dying in loneliness and terror inside their cages because of the lack of both veterinary care and no kill policies and programs proven to save lives at other municipal shelters. 

Maria Teresa Blackman lied throughout the declaration she filed against the two specific activists. She states in one paragraph that the Stop The Killing web site has her home address and phone number posted which is not true, (but even if it were, that's not illegal!) She also states that these two specific activists are participating in organized protests for the sole purpose of seeking retribution because of her testimony in court against ADL-LA last July. Is she not full of herself or what? Does she honestly think that experienced activists engage in pickets for ANY OTHER REASON than the fact that animals are being slaughtered needlessly inside LAAS? She obviously has never had a cause or crusade that she felt passionate enough about to picket, or else she would understand that true, sincere activists don't picket for any other reason then to stop the abuse, torture, and killing of innocent animals.

Activists realized immediately by her reaction to picketers back in June of 2007 that Maria is a royal bitch extraordinaire. She came out of her house screaming at the top of her lungs some of the worst profanities ever heard right in front of her daughter; then she picked up her small dog who had run outside with such anger and aggression he screamed out in pain. Activists were STUNNED. This woman appeared to everyone as totally unstable. The picketers worried that her daughter under Maria's influence would most likely turn out to be as repugnant, nasty, foul-mouthed, and explosive as her mom. Then, she phoned up her ex, Jimmy, and yelled at him over the phone like he was in grade school. Jimmy jumped in his car and drove over to his house immediately upon her demand. Now there's a woman who has her ex by the "short and curlies"!

Activists are not focused on Maria Blackman herself; however, we do believe that she has sway with her ex (since it appears when Maria says to Jimmy, "Jump!" Jimmy asks, "How High, Maria?") But the main reason activists picket the neighborhood is to inform the neighbors about what Jimmy Blackman, the owner of the home, is responsible for and to seek redress of grievances in regard to his slaughter of companion animals. 

So, we are asking you to PLEASE call, fax and e-mail Laura Chick and ask her to look into the City Attorney's Office (on the order of Jimmy Blackman) to act as Maria Teresa's personal attorney, while the two activists accused, Pamelyn Ferdin and Lindy Greene have to pay for private attorney's. YOUR TAX DOLLARS are paying for Maria Teresa to try and stop legal protesters from picketing her neighborhood in their legal attempt to try and get Jimmy Blackman to  stop the killing of lost and homeless animals in this city. 

Maria Blackman is currently accusing Ferdin and Greene of harassing her and even "stalking" her just by legally picketing her neighborhood! This woman is not only unstable, but a compulsive liar (as she also lied under oath during her testimony in July) and Ferdin, along with Greene intend to prove this in court. If anything, activists want to be as far away from the bitch as possible! All activists want to do and have the right to do, is obey the LA city ordinance as to picketing and pamphleteering when they protest in the neighborhood of Jimmy Blackman's home; and that is exactly what activists have done. There has not been ONE incident of any activists being detained, cited, or arrested in the neighborhood of Jimmy Blackman's home.  This is simply an egregious attempt by Maria Blackman to not only charge legal picketers with ludicrous falsehoods, but then to use YOUR tax money to pay for her representation; and we believe that this is not only malicious and venomous on her part, but also illegal.

Bottom line is that activists are going to continue to hold Jimmy Blackman and his cohorts accountable for the needless slaughter of tens of thousands of companion animals inside LAAS and to try to get those who may have influence over Jimmy to convince him to do the moral thing for the animals. Activists will also continue to fight against this despicable misuse of taxpayer monies by the City representing his ex. This is political sleaze at its absolute worst. The Villaraigosa Administration and the City Attorney's Office are so deep in shit, corruption, and mismanagement that it will most likely be impossible for Villaraigosa or Delgadillo to ever get elected again to any office; therefore, Jimmy will be looking for a new job soon. Maybe his ex, Maria, will hire him to be her "boy Friday." He certainly takes orders from her currently as if she were his boss!
