Animal Defense League - Los Angeles (ADL-LA) will be disseminating a nationwide Action Alert asking the humane community - along with their friends and family - to boycott the Discovery Channel and its Animal Precinct program because of your dealings with animal abuser and killer Ed Boks, General Manager of Los Angelels Animal Services.
There has been an ongoing two-year campaign here in Los Angeles directed at ousting the lying and fraudulent Ed Boks and focusing on the six Los Angeles municipal shelters he currently oversees. His was fired (a five member commission refused to renew his contract) and was asked to leave from the same positions in New York City and Maricopa County (AZ), respectively, for the identical complaints now levied against him in Los Angeles. These consist of allegedly "cooking the books," lying, and employing surreptitious means to appear to be lowering the kill rate. The latter is reputed to consist of manipulating figures by factoring out certain categories and allowing animals to linger until they die "on their own" from willfully untreated injuries and illnesses. Boks reportedly omits from the "euth" stats neonates, ferals, owner-surrenders, supposed "unsociables," and animals who die while in their cages. There were over 1,155 Hayden Act violations in 2006 under Boks reign of terror, and in addition, Ed Boks refuses to implement the protocols, policies, procedures, and programs of NoKill Solutions proven to save lives at progressive shelters nationwide.
If it is indeed true that you are working with Ed Boks on six episodes of Animal Precinct, then please inform us of such - so that we can call for a boycott of the Discovery Channel and Animal Precinct.

The bodies pictured above - as well as the TENS OF THOUSANDS MORE ANIMALS NEEDLESSLY ABUSED, NEGLECTED, and MURDERED under the reign of Ed Boks, General Manager of Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS), are the consequence of an incompetent and pathological liar who got caught in both New York City and Maricopa County but had the temerity to think that he could come to our fair city and hoodwink Angelenos into believing that he would establish the very No Kill shelters he now seeks to slander!
If there was a Nobel prize for spin-doctoring, he would win it hands down! It just doesn't dawn on this cognitively-challenged criminal that it would be so much easier just to do his job - the one for which he is paid a handsome $165,000 a year from our hard-earned taxpayer dollars - than to have to come up with every devious trick in the book to cover up his ineptitude and refusal to implement the No Kill Equation.
