Villariagosa's favorite! It all makes sense now, doesn't it? ADL-LA NOTES: We hate to blow our own horn, but back in 2004/2005 when ADL-LA came out AGAINST Antonio Villaraigosa's bid for mayor of Los Angeles, not only did some in the humane community ask to be removed from ADL-LA's list serve, BUT a wealthy animal rights donor (to groups like Animal Acres) said to an ADL-LA member that she was upset we were not endorsing Villaraigosa and thought he was great- she then asked to be removed from our list serve as well (having never sent ADL-LA a dime in our fight to stop the killing in LA City shelters! ) It's interesting to note that so far, EVERYTHING ADL-LA has exposed early on regarding the sleazy used-car-salesmen, Antonio Villaraigosa and Ed Boks has, as Obama's ex minister Jermiah Wright stated in a controversial sermon, "COME HOME TO ROOST!" By the way, Animal Acres is a big fan of Ed Boks; we believe he's sold them his same bill-of-goods as others who have never taken the time to visit our city animal death camps or to take a trip to Vernon and watch the garbage trucks from LAAS dump their "cargo" on the ground -SPLAT- as hundreds of cats, dogs, puppies and kittens are dumped lifeless and bloody on the tarmac every week. If the humane community doesn't start demanding relentlessly that Ed Boks be fired, and No Kill Solutions be hired, as per Villaraigosa's pledge back in 2005, LA will CONTINUE to see more and more dump trucks making their way to Vernon; and we'll only have ourselves to blame. And regarding these ludicrous LAAS public "workshops" on the issue of NO KILL, doesn't ANYONE in the humane community remember that this same ploy was used to quiet an angry constituency when Jerry Greenwalt was General Manager? If Ed Boks KNEW HOW or was WILLING to implement NO Kill Solutions, there wouldn't be the NEED for workshops on No Kill! How insane we all are; doing the same thing and hoping for a different result; while homeless and lost animals are being systematically executed because the rescues and welfarists within the humane community don't have the guts to really stand up and demand change by "taking to the streets" like others did for similar struggles in our nation's history. ADL-LA however will NEVER BACK DOWN from this fight. We've been out there in the streets protesting for five years resulting in getting rid of incompetents like Greenwalt, Stuckey, Cunningham, Diliberto, David, Hubner and others; and whether we have a hundred people or six in our picket line, we will continue taking the animals' message directly to those who have the power to make the necessary life-saving changes and DEMANDING THEY DO SO. If not YOU then WHO, If not NOW then WHEN . . . . . . Villaraigosa said in 2006, regarding Fois Gras, he'd make more conscious food choices in the future, and in 2008 he's still stuffing his face with the livers of the suffering still. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa commits animal cruelty by Manuel Luis Yesterday in the LA Times the Mayor posted a list of his favorites restaurants. Besides having expensive tastes he also has cruel tastes. His favorite restaurant in LA is pricey Patina. He says their foie gras is "great." He admits to eating this cruel $28 appetizer every time he visits the restaurant. In July 2006 Antonio went out to lunch with an LA Times journalist for an interview. Antonio ordered foie gras and a $140 bottle of red wine declaring it a "good value." We the citizens of LA paid for his cruel "value" meal. And what's he doing drinking an entire bottle of wine on the job in the day time? Maybe this is how he got in trouble with his mistress and destroyed his marriage and family?
